Kuntao Jiu-Jitsu Mission Statement

To teach students realistic self-defense concepts and techniques. Kuntao Jiu-Jitsu as a system will continually evolve and continue to teach students one of the most realistic and practical forms of self-defense.

Kuntao Jiu-Jitsu Students

All students and parents will be treated with respect. Instructors will promote an atmosphere of acceptance and genuine interest for all students and parents. Instructors will acknowledge all students by name upon entering the dojo and greet every parent with a sincere greeting or handshake. All students, parents, and instructors will be accountable for all Kuntao Jiu-Jitsu rules and regulations.

If an instructor feels a student is not ready to pass an examination, they may delay the examination date.

All former students will be welcomed back in the academy and will remain part of the Kuntao Jiu-Jitsu family.

All students and instructors will learn focus and enjoy the interactions with other highly driven and proactive individuals.

Kuntao Jiu-Jitsu Black Belts

All those who achieve the rank of 1st Degree Black Belt will be recognized as an official Kuntao Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt. Official Kuntao Jiu-Jitsu Black Belts will exhibit all the Kuntao Jiu-Jitsu Core Values. Official Black Belts may also complete the Kuntao Jiu-Jitsu Certified Training Program to teach the official Kuntao Jiu-Jitsu Curriculum without a certified instructor present. All Certified Instructors will wear a certification patch on the right breast of their uniform.

Martial Arts

Kuntao Jiu-Jitsu students and instructors must respect all other martial arts systems, their students and instructors. As a martial arts community, we should work together to increase public awareness to the benefits of the martial arts and the uniqueness of Kuntao Jiu-Jitsu.

Current Martial Art Black Belt

The Academy of Kuntao Jiu-Jitsu will recognize all Black Belts in other martial arts systems. The individual will be given the opportunity to train in both adult classes. In the first adult class the individual will wear the official Kuntao Jiu-Jitsu rank, starting at White Belt. In the second intermediate class the individual will be able to wear their current Black Belt and will line up to the left of the last Official Kuntao Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt.
